from friends + family
This ain’t your average cookbook. It started with a simple question posed during the neverending days of sweatpants and Netflix binges of quarantine 2020.
“What’s your dish?”
Everyone has that one dish - the one they love to make, that brings back childhood memories or is just a straight up crowd-pleaser. So I decided to ask my friends and family what their go-to dish was and, boy, did they deliver.
This cookbook is a compilation of 60 unique recipes from 45 amazing humans - some even happen to be real-life chefs! The recipe creators span a variety of continents, cultures, and languages but they all have one thing in common - they all have that one signature recipe that they make better than anyone else.
Inside this book, you'll find a selection of the best signature recipes that have been shared with me. They've been hand-selected, meticulously recreated, and come with clear tips and tricks so you can make these dishes at home.
I hope you enjoy exploring these delicious dishes as much as I did!
IN THE MOOD
THE BRAINCHILD OF
The brains behind “What’s Your Dish,” Anastasia is a foodie who has been traveling the world full-time for the last four years as a digital nomad. She believes that the best way to discover the soul of a place is through the local food scene. She’s made it a goal to partake in a cooking class in each new location she visits - and she’s been to a lot of places! “What’s Your Dish” was born from Anastasia’s passion for food, photography and design - and a whole lot of free time during quarantine 2020. When she’s not learning how to make salsa in Mexico, tzatziki in Greece or curry in Thailand, Anastasia, a proud Canadian, calls Vancouver home.
